Charles Muiruri (Chairman)

Charles is currently an Area Manager for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Southern California. Charles in addition has successfully operated an import company that traded arts and crafts from Africa at art galleries and trade shows. An avid investor in real estate, Mr. Muiruri has successfully invested in real estate both in the United States and Kenya.

Mr. Muiruri holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration (Finance), and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Edwin Olweny (Secretary)

Edwin is currently a principal at Hopper Engineering Associates, a Los Angeles-based engineering consulting firm that provides design, analytical, and forensic engineering services to the power, petrochemical, manufacturing and entertainment industries throughout the United States.

As a property owner and with the benefit of a family run surveying practice in Kenya, Mr. Olweny has vast knowledge in the business of land and property transactions. He is our in-house counsel with regards to land entitlement, surveying and property assessments.

Mr. Olweny holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He is also a licensed professional engineer.

Christian Muller (Treasurer)

Christian is a managing partner with the Barlocker-Leavitt Group, a firm in the top 100 Independent Property & Casualty Insurance Brokerage firms in the United States. He has over 18 years of professional experience in the Commercial Insurance and Risk Management field. Through its network of offices throughout the United States, the firm has written premiums in excess of $1.2 billion, with Christian brokering premiums in excess of $20 million.

Christian is a cofounder of The Masterminds Group, a motivational group whose mission is to help its members achieve financial freedom.

Meda O. Okelo (Business Operations Manager)

Meda currently serves as Director of Community Services in the City of East Palo Alto, in Northern California. He has previously served as journalist, a high school teacher, and a translator. Mr. Okelo is passionate about engendering partnerships that would provide opportunities for profitable real estate as well as other types of investments in the U.S. and internationally. An avid photographer and musical promoter, Meda also operates Jatelo Productions, an entertainment and music production company.

Mr. Okelo holds both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts (MA) degree from Stanford University and a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from California State University East Bay.

Kithinji Mwirigi (Marketing Manager)

Mr. Mwirigi is a managing partner with Amali Tea Company, a Californian and Kenyan-based business that markets and sells Kenyan teas in the U.S., while empowering Kenya's tea farmers and growers.

With a career background in architecture, Mr. Mwirigi has previously held positions of project manager and senior designer with J. Lou Architects and Moule and Polyzoides Architects and Urbanists, respectively. Collectively, these are award-winning, innovative architectural firms, providing the highest standards of comprehensive architectural and urban planning services to a US-wide and international clientele. The firms boast an impressive collective track record of over 100 completed projects. Deeply passionate about architecture in general and African architecture in particular, Mr. Mwirigi founded the Afro-Architecture Forum, an interactive community of individuals with a passionate interest in African architecture and its advancement.

Mr. Mwirigi holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana.
